    • We have recently changed the rules to try allow people to base and enjoy basing again. This is only a recent change so hopefully in the coming weeks we will see a bit more people basing
    • the text actually hurts my eyes to read, but i do agree that basing rules need to be reworked to bring it back
    • Modems Beautiful Staff App In-Game Name: Modem Age: 16 Timezone: MST Steam ID: STEAM_1:0:32138828 Steam Profile (a link): https://steamcommunity.com/id/shhhitsasecret/ Hours on the server: 554 Times you're most active: 5:00pm - 11:00pm on weekdays, 3:00pm - 12:00pm on weekends (MST) Why I want/should be a moderator: I think that I have a cool temper and would be able to handle frustrating situations with maturity. I also know that I am very good at looking at things objectively, not letting my own opinions get in the way. I think being a mod will be an interesting new experience, while at the same time helping everyone to have a better time on the server. Have you read the rules fully, understand and feel comfortable enforcing them as correctly as possible?: Yes Are you willing to listen to any Staff member chosen to mentor and guide you as a Staff, even if you feel you don't need to?: Yes Are you certain you will be able to staff for several hours a week?: Yes Situations: The server begins to lag and players are complaining about prop spam: I would check logs to see where all the props are coming from and teleport to the player spawning them. If they were spawning in a base/a large RP dupe I would just return myself. If they were spawning random props very quickly for no reason I would freeze them, and then punish them accordingly. You're involved in a sit where a player has said the base he's raiding is illegal: I would teleport to the player who made the complaint and ask what is wrong with the base. After that I would check to see if the base has the issues the player is complaining about and if there were any other issues I could spot. I would then bring the owner of the base if he wasn't already inside and explain to him what parts of his base need to be fixed. If he refuses, I would tell him that if he does not fix it he will be kicked/have his base removed. You see another staff member abusing their power: staff abuse is when a staff member uses their powers to gain an advantage in an RP scenario. Examples include no clipping into a base to collect printers/get intel on the base, spawning weapons for themselves to aid in a raid, giving themselves god mode/extra health during a raid, changing their model size in a raid, or anything else that gives them an advantage in a PVP or other roleplay scenario. If I saw a staff member doing any of these things I would ask the staff in question if they have a reason for what they're doing if it's unclear (IE if I saw them noclipping into a base they might be seeing if there's something wrong with the base) and if they didn't respond/didn't have a good reason I would send screenshots/video to a higher-up. A player is extremely uncooperative during a sit and is throwing insults at you: If the player was simply throwing insults at me id ignore it and carry on with the sit. However, if the player was using racial slurs or mic spamming/spamming chat, id gag/mute them and warn them to stop, then ungag/unmute them to give them a chance to stop. If they didn’t stop I would re-mute/gag them until the sit is over. If the player was saying I was a bad/abusive staff I would ask if they want me to see if another staff can handle the sit, and if no other staff could handle the sit I would give them a link to the forums to make a complaint/appeal their ban before continuing the sit. A player is excessively RDMing/RDAing and breaking NLR: I would teleport the player and explain why they are there, I would give them a chance to explain themselves to me, and after they did I would check log to see if their story was correct, and if it wasn't I would see how many people they killed/how many people they arrested/how many times they broke NLR and punish them accordingly. RDM (Random Deathmatch) RDM is killing a person without a valid RP reason, EX: Tommy kills Mark because Mark made Tommy's girlfriend cheat on him. RDA (Random Arrest) RDA is when a cop arrests somebody without having a reason, having a warrant, or giving the player a 10 second warning. EX: Walter arrests Greg because Greg jaywalked.  NLR (New Life Rule) NLR happens after you die. A simple way to explain it is you forget the last 5 minutes ever happened, so although you are the same character you are like a new person. If you died somewhere you are not allowed to come back to the area you died/interact with the people who killed you for five minutes after you die. However, exceptions are made to the rule in a few situations, during a PD raid police officers may break NLR to defend PD, if you are killed by a hitman who had a valid hit on you you are allowed to return to where you died, and if you were RDMed you are allowed to come back.  (Additional Comments): I know that in the past I was very mingey and I have some bad looking bans for MRDM from a few months ago, but I feel like ive changed enough since then that im ready to handle being staff. I also have some basic experience with ULX from messing around with my friends on sandbox servers.
    • Like I said on discord, you seem like a very nice guy and I would love to have you on the team but you must be active on the forums and have 60 hours on the server to apply for trial-moderator. A good place to start would be introducing yourself in the introduction section ( LINK ) as a lot of people may not know you yet. Also try to reply to things like ban appeal, player complaints, discussions on suggestions and other things like that. You may reapply in 7 days.    Also read these if you haven't already.
